It's been a week since we've been in Japan and God has definitely been moving. We've met new people on the campuses of Tokyo and Yokohama, reached out to students in fast food places, and hung out with those we met.
This past Sunday we had a Hawaii night in which over 20 college students walked into a church for the first time in their lives. This is quite unusual for Japan as churches here are often only twice that size.

Also, it's encouraging to see so many people we've reached out to in the past now serving God. One example is a guy who goes to Grace Tokyo. The Hawaii team reached out to him last year and he is now an active member at the church and enjoys being apart of the ushering ministry.

As we continue to touch the nation of Japan, please pray for these points:
*Opportunities to meet new people and build relationships with them
*Effective outreaches to connect people with the local churches
*Team unity so that we may continue to be effective

Hey Everyone,

This is our Japan Mission Team for 2009.  Please follow us and pray with us as we go to the nation of Japan to do street outreaches, campus ministry, and help the local church build strong, lasting relationships with the foundation of Jesus Christ.  We will be in Japan from May 26 until June 8.  I'll update this blog with things we did over the day and how we saw God move in the nation of Japan.

Here is our Japan team for 2009.

Past teams from Hawaii have left a lasting impact on the local churches we're visiting.  Please pray for YGBC, Grace Tokyo, and our team as we depart on May 25 @ 8:30am.  Thanks!
